Funkie Tee has been singing in choirs since she was six. The music grew up with her: through Nigeria, Canada and the United States, through a career in clinical research and medical affairs, through seasons of waiting, and through raising two sons.
The songs are what she sings when the door is shut and when it opens. Praise with a live-band pulse. Testimony without exaggeration. Scripture set to melodies simple enough for a child to carry home.
Off stage she is Dr. Olufunke Omotayo, a pharmacist and public-health professional. On every record she is Funkie Tee, and the message is the same in both places: God is faithful, and it is not over.
